  • Family History Packages
  • Individually-tailored Research from £20 per hour

The following packages make ideal presents for birthdays, anniversaries, house-warmings and other special

occasions. For any of our packages, we want to create the perfect gift, and so will work with you to tailor the final

product to your requirements. If you have any family photographs or records you wish to be included, please let

us know.


1. Family History Packages

  • Family (gift):        £400-£700 (prices vary as this is a bespoke service)

This gift package features a full report, comprising of an investigation into your family dating back 150-200 years

(if possible). We will include printed copies of historical records, photographs (where applicable), local history

information and an ancestry chart. All of this information will be presented in a bound volume, with the name of

your choice embossed on the cover. Please note, the kinds of historical records included vary, but may include

birth, marriage and death certificates;  censuses; wills, military records; parish records; workhouse records;  and

employment records. The report will be created in full consultation with you, and you are welcome to send scans of

your own family photographs or documents for inclusion in the completed product. The price will be agreed at the

beginning of the project.

  • Family (basic):      £150-£200

This basic package features a basic investigation into one branch of your family tree, dating back up to 200 years. If

 it is no possible to trace back one branch 200 years, investigation will be done instead on other branches and with

greater detail. The information will be presented both in a report and on CD.

Individually-tailored Research

We also offer research tailored to specific needs. This will be charged at a rate of £20 per hour (for a minimum of 2

hours) + costs.

In addition, if you are interested in any of our specialist areas, we can give you a fixed price before embarking on

the research. Our specialist areas are as follows:

          We provide research for:

          NB: not all records have survived; and many ancestors, homes, and people go unrecorded.

          We search records that are available in London and (for an extra cost) throughout England to help you find your ancestors. For some parts of the country we use local researchers for no extra cost.

          Please note, we will only undertake research that we believe has a reasonable chance of success.

          We do not believe in wasting a client's money.

          Our experience with records and archives gives us an insight into which records are likely to be most useful to your interests.

          Tell us what you know.

          When you contact us, please tell us what research has been done already.

          We will then ask you to check what you and your family know. How big is your family tree?

          By then, we will have the beginnings of a history.

          From there, we will begin the research.

          Consultation

          We will consult you before undertaking each new search.

          We will plan the research together so that you understand what is available and what you are paying for.

          It is important that clients feel in control of the research.

          When the research is completed, we will give you ideas for further research.
